What is a Pilates prevention course?
Our prevention courses comprise 8 or 10 units of 55 to 60 minutes each, depending on the model. In the course you learn the foundational Pilates exercises and their sequences, build stability and postural awareness, and so help prevent back problems caused by poor posture. You train in a small group: at most 8 participants in the mat and Tower courses, at most 7 on the Reformer courses. That leaves plenty of room for individual corrections.
Our five certified prevention courses:
- Mat course — 10 units · €180
- Reformer — 8 units · €199 or 10 units · €219
- Reformer & Tower — 10 units · €219
- Tower Pilates — 10 units · €219
- Mami Pilates (pre- & postnatal) — 10 units · €219
The three equipment courses differ in what you train on and where: the Reformer course takes place on the Reformer in the Reformer room, Tower Pilates on the Wall Unit. Reformer & Tower uses both rooms and both pieces of apparatus. All three equipment courses also include a mat component.
For all courses you must attend at least 80% of the units to receive a certificate of attendance for your health insurance fund.
Subsidy from the health insurance funds (§20 SGB V)
The statutory health insurance funds subsidise our certified mat and equipment classes (Reformer, Reformer & Tower and Tower Pilates) and Mami Pilates (pre- & postnatal) as primary prevention under §20 SGB V. The requirement for reimbursement is that you attend at least 80% of the course units. You then receive a certificate of attendance that you can submit to your health insurance fund.
The size of the subsidy is set by each health insurance fund. It’s best to check with your insurer directly before you start.
