Welcome to Classical Pilates Berlin.

Pilates is a holistic full-body workout based on a unique system of stretching and strengthening exercises. It harmonises movement and breathing, defines the body, relieves back pain and promotes your overall health.

We naturally teach on apparatus personally developed by J.H. Pilates: Reformer, Cadillac, Tower, Ladder Barrel and Chair. Training on the apparatus is very effective and you will be able to see great results within a short period. Mat classes also utilise small equipment: Magic Circle, Therabands or Barrels.

Pilates especially focuses on the deep muscles in the centre of the body: pelvic floor muscles, abdominals and back muscles – our body’s power or control centre. Every Pilates exercise begins with the activation of the control centre - the "powerhouse". The aim of Pilates is to gain and maintain strength, endurance, stability and flexibility.

J.H. Pilates originally called his training method "Contrology“. After his death in 1967, it was renamed after its inventor and has simply been called Pilates ever since. To this day, his method has its rightful place among the long line of established body training systems.

Those who practise Pilates improve their body awareness in a sustainable manner; they soon improve their movement and posture habits and take the training with them into their everyday life.
